Almost 1!!!!

Nicholas' huge milestones.....

Im so excited for my baby boy. As most of you know Nicholas was born sick and had a bleed on his brain which cause some damaged and Nicholas has been extremely delayed in his motor skills. When Nicholas started therapy at 6 months he was barly able to hold his head up well and was not rolling. With therapy and a therapist that we love once a week Nicholas has made great progress. Now at almost 11 months he was doing the army crawl and rolling to where he needed to go. Well im happy to report now that he is more mobile. Not just the army crawl. Better watch out. Today While I was at work :( Brad caught on camera Nicholas propped up on all fours and rocked all by his self. He is will be crawling in no time. That is not all. That is just 1 of 3 milestones all today. The second is for the first time he pulled his self to a complete stand along the couch twice. Then he fell and he hit his head. Ouch!! And last but not least he went from laying to sitting alone. We are soo proud of him. I feel like he is growing up all a sudden.

Well blogger won't let me post pics right now, So I will just do a little updating. Since we moved I haven't updated or uploaded new pics. We are all settled in and love all the room we have, well compared to our other place.
On the JOB front, Brad is currently at a second interview at a printing company so we are really hoping that he gets the job. I got hired part time/seasonal at Sears. Should be starting upon my completed back ground check. But still looking for a full time job. Me and Brad are kinda of trying to work opposite shifts so we won't have to worry much about daycare. We'll see how that matches up.
Brandon adjusted well to his new school. He is such a good loving kid and makes friends easily. He is just having a little problem remembering his homework almost daily. He never had that problem at Whitehead so he is grounded until he starts to remember. Almost everyday we have to drive him back to the school for him to get his books. I am getting really frustrated with him. Nicholas had a check up. He weighs 21.9 oz and is 27.5 inches! 50% for weight and 10% for height. Nicholas caught a cold from all of us and ended up wheezing. So he went back on breathing treatments for a few days. His doctor thinks every time he gets sick he will probably have to have breathing treatments until he grows out of it. Nicholas has his 1st birthday coming up next month. I cant believe that I am going to have a 1 year old already. Time flew!! Therapy is going well. Still working on crawling and getting into the sitting position by his self. But none the less making progress every week. He does the army crawl right now and pulls his self everywhere. The last few days and started to see him try to tuck his knees underneath him so hopefully we are almost there.

Pumpkins Everywhere

Today we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard. I was so excited because I thought I was going to get all these great pics of Nicholas 1st trip and it so did not turn out that way. Nicholas took a couple good pics then wanted nothing to do with the pumpkins, people, food, nothing! Where did my smiley baby go and what is wrong. Well after I done gave up on him he all of a sudden was full of smiles again. O'well maybe next year will be a better photo opportunity.

Therapy..virus..eating :(

Although you can not tell by this photo that was taken today, Nicholas has not been feeling good. His nurse said it prolly is a virus, as long as no temp or tugging at ears and he still is drinking let it pass. Well I don't know what it is but Nicholas has been refusing his solids which use to be his favorite! Now table food he will still take with out hesitation so is it a virus or Nicholas just decided forget the jar foods! I don't know but he has been having at least 4 poo diapers a day and I am hoping this passes soon! He poor butt is getting raw. Other than that and not feeling so great, fussing then we have therapy on Wednesdays. Now Mrs. Lori make Nicholas work so already being tired and not feeling well I though o great this should be fun. Nope Nicholas loves her and always corporates to his fullest and hardly gives her a hard time. He gets reevaluated next month and we will probably been adding a fine motor therapist and a developmental therapist. So we'll see. We are trying to work on crawling but he is not quite there. So come on Nicholas you can do it!

Weekends

Now that me and Brad both are laid off of work, our days consist of way to much quality time together. One of us needs out of the house! Well okay its not that bad but gets old after a while. Our days all seem the same, weekends are no different than a Monday or a Friday. Nothing to look forward to. It sucks! So I am hoping a job comes our way soon.

We went and looked at a townhouse is weekend and plan on moving the end of the month. I hate moving but we desperately need more space. So our fun is just beginning! Cleaning, throwing away, packing, packing and more packing then moving the crap. It will be worth it in the end, Brandon will be able to have a more social life outside since there is plenty of kids to play with and there is none where we live now. Plus he is looking forward to going to a different school for one reason, NO UNIFORMS! That would of been great except we already bought him all new uniforms this year. That seems to be our luck. Nicholas too will have an advantage he will be close to his cousin Abbi. Nicholas is the laid back mellow baby and Abbi is very hyper. She goes crazy when she sees Nicholas and tries to grab his eyes out of his head, and any other part she can get a hold of. So maybe if she sees more of him she'll relax a little. She just gets sooo excited.

So Sunday I got up, got ready, took care of the kids then I got away alone! It was great just to get away for a couple hours. Went and got a eyebrow wax, and headed to the bridal expo. Here we go all over, my best friend of so many years, like 15 years is getting married next year. she is as Glenda refers as the "super saver wedding lady" and tries to find the best possible deal there is. Good luck!

After a couple hours away I went back home and everybody survived. Brad was watching football, duh! As he said well he was trying to watch as much as he could with both the boys. We have Bears (Brandon) and Raiders fans (Brad). Nicholas was rolling all over the floor and Brandon was chillen in his room watching the Disney channel. So we all packed up and went to Brandon's Aunt Julies for fresh smoked turkey. It was yum. Hopefully this week we can venture out to do something a little more exciting.

Lets try again

We miss updating everyone from old co-workers to out of state family and friends. So we are reconnected. I will try to update as often as Nicholas lets me. He is demanding at times so bare with me. And now that I have a 4th grader homework takes a lot of time.

So Brandon turned 9 in June and started 4th grade last week. Came home 1st day with a short story to write about his self. Sounds simple right, wrong nothing is so simple with Brandon. It turned into hours long and thinking, writing, correcting and then typing for a 2 paragraph story. Welcome to my world with Brandon and school. Very bright the teachers say but we battle attention in our house, seriously. So we'll see how the rest of the school year goes. Challenging I'm sure.

And for the Mama's boy, Nicholas! He loves his mama and literally I can scream at times when he just fusses and fusses just for me and for no reason. He likes Daddy on occasion but not like mama. It gets aggravating when I am trying to get something done. Now about the good stuff on Nicholas, he recently got 2 teeth, 2 days apart, has said his first word "hi" a couple time, has been sitting since the beginning of August and working on crawling. Not to close to crawling but working on it with his therapist weekly. We are getting there! After all he is only 9 months.

As for me and Brad. We are both now unemployed and looking for a job. Ive had a job interview so hoping it turns out, and Brad just got laid off last week. That sucks for us. That's our dilemma for the moment.
